PE Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop state-of-the-art designs across commercial, education, and industrial sectors.
This Senior Mechanical Engineer opportunity is based in Cork, Ireland, and involves projects spanning Munster and Ireland, delivering low-energy projects from conceptual design to building handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and reviewing the work of junior engineers
- Compiling specifications for mechanical services and installations
- Ensuring full coordination between specifications and drawings
- Estimating, cost control, and compiling project reports
- Project planning, conceptual design studies, and reports
- Training and professional development of junior and intermediate engineers
- Building client relationships and acting in a client-facing role
- Liaising with architects, clients, and stakeholders to set design constraints and coordinate with all disciplines
Requirements include:
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Chartership or near-future Chartership, with a minimum 7 years' postgraduate experience and evidence of career progression and management of small to medium-scale projects
- Ability to lead projects and deliver tasks required
- Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles, with an appreciation of prompt and efficient response and resolution to client needs
Desirable competencies and aptitudes include:
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with excellent Excel skills and relevant technical software tools
- Clean driving license
