Job Description
Experienced Mechanical Engineer required to oversee HVAC, Piping, Plant, and Clean Utility designs, ensuring commissionability and resolving technical issues promptly. Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare, check, and peer-review HVAC, Piping, Plant, and Clean Utility designs for commissionability and technical feasibility. • Provide oversight of design across multiple projects, conducting peer reviews and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues. • Review designs to ensure they meet technical requirements and commissionability standards. • Procure equipment from initial inquiries to delivery on site, maintaining a comprehensive audit trail. • Prepare design risk assessments and contribute to developing method statements and Health and Safety plans. • Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth plant operation and successful handover. • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental, and quality procedures, maintaining adequate records. • Liaise with project managers to prepare project close-out reports. Experience and Skills: • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • Minimum 5 years of design and construction experience required. • Experience with Plant and Clean Utilities and process piping essential. • Understanding of mechanical calculations and proficiency in 3D software platforms. • Ability to troubleshoot problems in the field and knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems. • Commercial understanding and interest in furthering expertise. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
