Job Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer sought to lead Mechanical Engineering design elements of building projects in Ireland.
We are a leading provider of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland. Our current workload includes a diverse range of projects in infrastructure, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, airport, education, healthcare, and more.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, specification, and oversight of mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, chilled water systems, and more. Proficiency in IES, Hevacomp, Siteworks, and Cymap design software is also required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as Lead Mechanical Engineer in multidiscipline design teams
- Ensuring project design and installation meet safety and current standards and regulations
- Design input and oversight of mechanical aspects of projects
- Preparation of project reports and fee proposals
- Business development and communication with internal and external parties
- Review of design drawings and documentation
- Fulfilling the duties of Designer as defined under the SHWW(C) Regulations
Desirable skills and attributes include:
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
- Membership of an Engineering Professional Body
- Experience in client-facing roles and financial management of design budgets
- Good listener and communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Understanding of BIM processes, Auto CAD, and Revit
