My Client are a very well respected and growing Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a strong Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to manage and undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office. The successful Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Associate Director / Director providing design and technical services on various project types, including but not limited to Commercial, Mixed-Use, Residential & Healthcare developments. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Team Management. Design of sustainable, energy efficient and resilient Mechanical Services and Installations. Compilation of Specifications for Mechanical Services and Installations. Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings. Estimating & cost control. Compiling project reports. Conceptual design studies and reports. Liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical disciplines influence on all others. Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the group. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 10 years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment. Chartered or Progressing to achieve chartership. Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work and an ability to meet strict deadlines. Developing knowledge of relevant standards and regulations. Revit experience would be an advantage.
