Experienced Mechanical Estimator sought for permanent role in Dublin. Key responsibilities include preparing accurate cost estimates, conducting reviews of tender documents, and managing quantity take-offs. Requirements include previous mechanical cost estimating experience, strong computer skills, and knowledge of mechanical building services systems. Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines. This role will involve working closely with the Estimating Manager and Electrical Estimators to deliver high-quality estimates and BOQs. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and costing potential value engineering opportunities, as well as mentoring and training junior estimators. The role will also involve collaborating with the Electrical Estimators and participating in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the estimating department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously on large-scale complex tenders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the level of detail in estimates and whether potential risks and contingencies are adequately accounted for. This role will involve effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members, as well as managing estimating manpower to ensure efficient use of resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical & process pipework systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical building services systems, as well as good knowledge of different mechanical & process pipework materials.
