Senior Mechanical Estimator sought for a leading engineering company in the UK, working on pharmaceutical projects with a competitive package and excellent work-life balance.

As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting in-depth reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Performing accurate quantity take-offs and marking up measured drawings
- Requesting, managing, and evaluating supplier and sub-contractor quotations
- Issuing tender queries and RFIs
- Preparing costed bill of quantities and tender reports
- Advising on potential value engineering opportunities
- Managing a database and attending meetings and site visits
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams
- Managing mechanical estimators and delegating team workload
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong mechanical estimating experience
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office
- A strong understanding of mechanical and process pipework systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical building services systems
- Good knowledge of different mechanical and process pipework materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent time management, communication, numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
