Senior Mechanical Estimator I am delighted to assist an engineering company that differs from the rest. Due to ongoing expansion and investment, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their team to work on new pharmaceutical projects across the UK. Full remote working from home available, travelling to sites once a month. Meet your potential new employer? The Role Conducted in-depth reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, etc. Preform accurate quantity take-offs and mark up measured drawings. Request, manage and evaluate supplier and sub-contractor quotations. Issue tender queries and RFIs. Prepare costed bill of quantities. Prepare tender reports, tender pricing schedules and other tender return documents. Advise on potential value engineering opportunities. Manage database. Attend meetings and site visits when required. Adhere to tender return deadlines. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams. Manage mechanical estimators and delegate team workload. Other related tasks as instructed Experience Required Mechanical Estimating Experience Strong computer skills, especially in the use of MS Office. Strong understanding of mechanical & process pipework systems, HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical building services systems. Good knowledge of different mechanical & process pipework materials. Strong attention to detail. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, perform accurate take-offs, and prepare detailed BOQs. Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines. Must display excellent time management, communication, numerical, analytical and organisational skills. Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
