Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems and utilities design for pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. Lead plant design activities, perform quality review checks, and participate in design reviews and risk assessments. Experience with 2D/3D modeling and mechanical plant design. Proficient in spreadsheets, problem-solving, and solution creation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector and mission-critical systems. Knowledge of Mech/HVAC specific design standards. Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels. Experience with Navisworks and start-up and commissioning. Primary degree in Building Services, Energy or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8) and chartered status. Package contract rates of €55-€65 per hour. Long-term contract roles min 12 months.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
• Perform Mech/HVAC plant design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
• Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modeling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
• Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.

Requirements:
• Experience in pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries, with skill sets in wet and dry calculations, specifications, detailing, and sizing.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, problem-solving, and solution creation.
• Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector and mission-critical systems.
• Engineering/design experience in Mech/HVAC systems.
• Experience with start-up and commissioning, equipment layout definition, and excellent English level.
• Knowledge of Mech/HVAC specific design standards (minimum UK/EU) and ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
• Experience using Navisworks and primary degree in Building Services, Energy or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8) and chartered status.
