ref. 01163 Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineer Our client, a prominent EPCM company with their offices based in South Dublin and Cork, is currently seeking four Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineers for an initially 12-month contract. The successful candidate will report functionally to the Mechanical/HVAC Department Manager and on a project basis to the Lead Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager in accordance with the project structure. Responsibilities Leading plant design activities independently and collaborating with multi-discipline designers. Executing Mech/HVAC plant design across various engineering disciplines in integrated 2D/3D systems. Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations. Assisting in generating project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets. Conducting quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables. Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Skills Pharma experience preferable, large scale industrial. Wet and dry specifications, calculations, sizing, and detailing. Substantial engineering/design experience in the industrial/advanced technology sector with a focus on mission-critical systems, specifically within Mech/HVAC systems. Experience in start-up, commissioning, equipment layout definition, and familiarity with Mech/HVAC specific design standards (UK/EU) is essential. Experience in Navisworks is an advantage. Requirements Primary degree in Building Services, Energy, or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8), and either working towards or already having gained chartered status. Proven experience in HVAC systems and utilities systems design within Pharmaceutical and/or Semiconductor industries, particularly in a lead capacity encompassing various systems such as cleanrooms, AHU’s, chilled water, glycol systems, steam systems, hot water systems, cooling water systems, and compressed air systems. Expertise in mechanical plant specification, risk assessments, safety, constructability reviews, and preparation of tender and construction packages is desired. #J-18808-Ljbffr
