We are hiring a Senior Medical Scientist in Clinical Chemistry for a Private Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.RESPONSIBILITIESOversee and manage the laboratory's support and/or scientific employees.Ensure the team is assigned based on the needs of the patient, using as much delegation as is safe.Provide consumers with an effective service while ensuring that all guidelines are followed and standards are met.Ensure that the laboratory's record-keeping policy is being followed.Help and collaborate with the Pathology Management Team in creating protocols to be adhered to prevent and handle incidents that occur in the laboratory area.Take a proactive role in supporting staff research and continuing education initiatives.Assist the Head of Department/Laboratory Manager in preparing financial statements, business plans, and cost-benefit evaluations for suggested investments in the pathology division.RequirementsHold a clinical science qualification and have worked as a full-time medical scientist for four years, or four years combined of clinical experience, at a clinical diagnostic laboratory.Aspirants must hold a Medical Science Bachelor of Science.Candidate must hold one of the postgraduate NFQ Level 9 degrees listed below, or an equivalent qualification at least as high as Level 9, as confirmed by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.Must pass the Institute of Biomedical Science's Fellowship test (awarded prior to 1999).Have worked as a medical scientist in a clinical diagnostic laboratory for four years straight, full-time, or a total of four years' worth of clinical experience since becoming qualified to practice medicine.Must be enrolled in CORU, be eligible for membership after completing coursework, or be applying for state registration.BenefitsAdaptable and creative work schedules.Enhanced Annual Leave.Improved Family Leave Programme with Paid Maternity Leave.Eligible to take part in disability benefit plans and life insurance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
