Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our financial services client on a daily rate contract. This role is ideal for someone with 8-10 years of professional experience and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role is hybrid-based, with part-time on-site presence in Dublin required. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using a range of technologies, including WCF services, Web Forms, MVC, C#, Web-APIs, Windows Services, Angular 7+, MS SQL Server, Git, Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions. Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications. Implement best practices in software development, such as code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently and ensure the highest level of code quality. Optimize system performance and ensure applications are scalable and secure. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Senior .NET Developer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework. Expertise in developing and consuming WCF services, Web-APIs, and Windows Services. Expertise in Web Forms, MVC, Angular 7+ for front-end development. Proficiency with MS SQL Server for database management and query optimization. Hands-on experience with version control (Git), Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions. In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs and their implementation. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code. Preferred Skills Experience with Python scripting for automation and data integration. Knowledge of data integration processes, including ETL and file transport protocols. Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Exposure to DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, etc. Experience in performance tuning and optimization for .NET applications. Previous experience working with AWS Lambda functions and associated services.
