TheNationalSpinaBifidaserviceaimstoensurebestoutcomesforchildrenbypartneringwithfamiliesandlocalservices.Thepost-holderwilldeliveroccupationaltherapyservicestochildrenandyoungpeople,workingcloselywithamultidisciplinaryteam.brbrKeyresponsibilitiesinclude:brulbrliDeliveringacomprehensiveoccupationaltherapyservicetochildrenandyoungpeople,fromneonataltoadultservices/librliLiaisingwithfamiliesandlocalservicestomonitorandrespondtochildren’sfunctionalpresentations/librliWorkingcloselywithothermultidisciplinaryteammembers,includingphysiotherapy,psychology,andspecialistnursing/librliAssistinginthemanagementofchildrenwithspinabifidaduringinpatientstays,incollaborationwithOTcolleagues/librliActingasaspecialistresourcenationally,guidingandsupportinglocaloccupationaltherapists/libr/ulbrbrThepost-holderwillworkwithintheOccupationalTherapyDepartment,contributingtoservicedevelopmentasrequired.EssentialcriteriaincludearecognisedqualificationinOccupationalTherapy,CORUregistration,andaminimumof3yearspost-graduateclinicalexperienceinarelevantarea.Theroleismainlyoutpatientclinic-based,supportingchildrenandtheirfamilieswithintheirlocalities.Thepost-holderisexpectedtodevelopandgrowrelationshipswithlocalservices,workingcloselywithcounterpartsinlocalservicestomonitorandberesponsivetothechildrensfunctionalpresentations.
