Medforce are seeking a CORU registered Senior Occupational Therapistto join a friendly, dynamic, supportiveChildren's Disability network team in Dublin 7. Contract:This is a 6-month contract (with a view to extend), full time hours Monday - Friday, 35 hour working week plus excellent benefits. Overview: Our cleint's multidisciplinary team provides a holistic approach to care, ensuring that each childs unique needs are met with compassion, expertise, and innovative therapies. The Senior Occupational Therapist will be involved in assessment and intervention, providing family support, leadership and supervision. Key Responsibilities: Assessment & Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for children with a range of disabilities, including physical, sensory, and developmental challenges. Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of evidence-based occupational therapy services within the children's disability network. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide integrated care. Family Support: Engage and collaborate with families and caregivers to provide education, support, and guidance in implementing therapeutic strategies at home. Leadership & Supervision: Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and supervision to junior occupational therapists and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Advocacy & Best Practice: Advocate for the needs of children with disabilities and stay current with best practices and research in pediatric occupational therapy. Requirements: A BSc in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent CORU registered Occupational Therapy qualification. Must have proven experience working with children. 3+ years of post-grad experience, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with children and young people. Have enthusiasm, imagination and initiative.
