Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist with rehabilitation experience to work with elderly clients in a 20-bed Rehabilitation Unit.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with clients to develop and implement personalized therapy plans aimed at improving daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life.
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving mobility, strength, and daily activities
- Provide hands-on therapy, adaptive equipment recommendations, and training to support independence in self-care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques for home use and long-term care strategies
- Track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet recovery goals
- Ensure compliance with all safety and healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- CORU registered
- Minimum of three years OT experience, preferably working with elderly clients
- Strong knowledge of geriatric care, cognitive and physical rehabilitation
