Medforce are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a friendly, dynamic, supportive Children Disability Network Team in Leitrim.This is a 6-month contract (with a view to extend), full time hours Monday - Friday, 35 hour working week plus excellent beneifts including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, family-centered care to children and young people with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and sensory needs.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for children with diverse disabilities, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and participation in daily activities.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Provide education, training, and support to families and caregivers, empowering them to facilitate their childs development and participation in home and community settings.
Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative therapeutic programs and services that address the evolving needs of children with disabilities.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and apply this knowledge to improve service delivery.
