Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist Location: Wexford Services:20-bed Rehabilitation Unit (Elderly Care) Salary: Competitive, in line with HSE pay scales Working Hours: Full Time Monday Friday Contract: Fixed-Term Contract About Us: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team in a 20-bed rehabilitation unit, primarily focused on elderly care. Their goal is to support patients in regaining their independence and improving their quality-of-life following surgery, illness, or injury. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans. Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, cognitive, and social abilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, social workers) to deliver holistic care. Support patients in their transition from the rehabilitation setting to home or long-term care. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on the rehabilitation process and strategies for maintaining progress. Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as required. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in occupational therapy. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, ideally with elderly clients. Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist. Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
