MainLocation:Ballyboughal, Co Dublin Responsible to:Freight Warehouse Manager or Assistant Manager/or company approved designate. Normal Hours: Monday to Friday 2pm to 11pm, with a one hour unpaid break each day, with every fourth Saturday 6:30am finish. Additional hours may be required and rostered hours and days may vary in order to meet business requirements and other leave requirements As the Senior Operations Supervisor, you will support and guide the operation on all transport and warehouse activities to ensure flow and timings planned by our supply chain teams are respected. You will be a responsible point of contact for the existing Transport and Warehouse department supervisors and team leads to help support and advise on operational matters. You will ensure the day-to-day transport and warehouse operation requirements are met. You will ensure the policing of the yards and trailer parking and manage the contractors coming on site each evening. You will be responsible for Day-to-day planning with the warehouse management team around Resources / Training / Maintenance of equipment and Health and safety. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day activities of the transport department and road freight warehouse pm shifts to ensure all duties are carried out. Manage transport administration including driver de-brief. Overseeing the planning of domestic vehicles for Transport of Domestic, Road Freight and Logistics customers. Monitoring of vehicle utilisation, trunking performance and load planning. Work with the transport planning department to manage costs and maintain service levels. Monitor and deal with transport queries, by liaising with other depots and departments. Ensure all collections are completed and closed off daily with the planning team. Manage the loading and offloading of inbound trailers and local delivery vehicles, as per our manifests and warehouse processes. Ensure all inbound and outbound processes are followed by the warehouse team. Oversee and ensure that all export trailers are loaded and departed the Dublin depot at the agreed times in order to make ferry sailings. Manage the accurate checking and scanning in and out of orders and accurate loading and manifesting of all out bound vehicles with the planning and warehouse teams. Manage and oversee that all warehouse activities are conducted and completed in a professional and business-like manner and in line with our health and safety practices. Oversee and manage activities in the yards in relation to shunting and traffic management. Maintain good working practices in the warehouse while proactively identifying continuous improvements. Ensure the bond area is managed as per our Bond Warehouse SOP. Ensure the warehouse and yards house keeping is kept to high standard. Any further ad hoc duties as required. Skills Requirements: Experience working in transport planning and warehouse operations required. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated with good communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team and be accountable for tasks and actions. Ability to work on own initiative. Must be able to work well under pressure. Possess a positive outlook, promoting constructive responses to the challenges of work.
