Job Description
Collaborate with a team to design, deploy, and sustain packaging automation systems using Siemens PLC & SCADA, Seavision Vision Systems & Marchesini Packaging Machines.
- Create, evaluate, and endorse updated software standards.
- Offer automation proficiency to engineering and operations sectors for informed design and continuous operational decisions.
- Establish effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless support for packaging operations.
- Formulate and implement standard operating procedures to ensure ongoing compliance of all automation systems.
- Guarantee the compliance and qualification of all new software upon delivery and during maintenance.
- Assist validation endeavors as a support function.
- Participate in interdisciplinary groups to enhance process and equipment optimization.
- Train personnel on specific automation aspects of equipment.
- Devise and execute solutions across automation platforms in alignment with the site's change control procedures.
Requirements
- At least 4 years in the automation field, providing support within GMP environments and applications.
- Direct exposure and extensive familiarity with packaging automation and vision systems platforms.
- Direct involvement in supporting manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency in managing change controls and conducting investigations into deviations and events.
- A complete understanding of the implementation and validation life cycle of automation systems, coupled with an awareness of the impact of changes on product quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
