Job Vacancy OFM Solutions is seeking to fill a role of Senior Payroll & Accounting Technician reporting to Partner level. It is likely that the person appointed to the role will be studying or have recently completed their AITI and/or IPASS exams, will likely pursue further professional studies in Accounting and is seeking an exciting and dynamic role in which they will get excellent hands on experience. The role is full-time permanent with huge potential to develop into other finance areas. Role Description Payroll the management of monthly client payroll processes on Sage Payroll (formerly Micropay) to ensure timely & accurate execution and ensuring payroll tax and regulatory compliance. Management of employee data and payroll changes. Management and administration of employee benefits programs, pensions, bus and bike-to-work schemes etc. Accounting the management of accounting ledgers for client companies. Strong emphasis on managing a workflow of source documentation through an accounting system, the maintenance of up-to-date & accurate accounting ledgers, the management of creditor payment runs, the management of trade debtors and actively progressing collections, Other Functions Emphasis on seeking ways to become more efficient and save clients money. Qualities of Ideal Candidate Qualification sitting final stage or completed an Accounting qualification and/or IPASS Diploma in Payroll Management. Experience likely to have been in employment in industry or practise for 3-5 years. The ability to multi-task and being able to work to tight deadlines will be important. Communication & Ethics this is a client facing role and the main point of contact for client payroll queries. Good verbal & written communication skills are vital. The ideal candidate will apply strong business ethics and seek constantly to do things in the most professional way with clear audit trails. Personality - The role will suit a candidate who works well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy in the role will be essential. Technology Experience using SagePayroll /Sage50 / Xero accounting systems would be very beneficial and strong excel skills are important.
