Company: Mercer Description: What you can expect: Mercers pension risk management consulting team are looking to hire a senior actuarial/risk consultant to join their team to support strategic risk management advice to our pension clients. This role is likely to be suitable for somebody who may want the flexibility of working 3/4 days per week (or other flexible arrangements which will be considered). The risk management consulting team is a small team of subject matter experts which focuses on providing pension and risk management advice to trustees. This role involves providing strategic consulting advice to trustees on their risk management of their pension scheme either as a consultant or as a nominated pension Risk Management Key Function Holder. Develop a pension risk management framework for pension schemes and provide relevant advice to a diverse range of trustee groups. Contribute to the evolution of the area of pension risk management as part of a panel of subject matter experts. Manage the delivery of a range of projects with support from junior colleagues. Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercers best ideas in order to provide valuable advice and communicate effectively with clients. Liaise with colleagues across teams and business lines to achieve successful outcomes for clients. What you will need to have: Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. Comfortable in a client facing role, with experience presenting and managing client meetings. Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects A comprehensive understanding of market developments, pension themes, and the key issues facing our clients. Pro-active and goal orientated. Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
