Job Description
Senior Physical Design Engineer role in Cork City, Ireland.
Participate in a global team driving the physical design flow for SOCs in bleeding edge technologies.
Key responsibilities:
* Execute physical design from floorplan to GDS for complex designs with aggressive PPA targets.
* Manage schedules, plans, status, risks, and support cross-functional engineering efforts.
* Collaborate with design and DFT teams on physical design timing closure and power optimization.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in physical design.
* Conduct complex analyses of test results using statistics and data predictions.
* Work across teams to align on PPA improvement and ensure targets are met.
* Participate in researching innovative methodologies for pushing PPA limits in physical design.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
* 3+ years of relevant experience in Physical Design.
* Knowledge of the entire PD flow from netlist to GDS.
* Experience with tools for physical design implementation in advanced technology nodes (10nm and below).
* Strong understanding of STA and timing closure methodologies.
* Experience with low power designs and UPF/CPF flows.
* Expertise in automation skills using Perl and TCL.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
