Job Description

**Senior Physiotherapist Wanted for Children's Disability Service** A highly experienced physiotherapist is sought to provide high-quality patient-centered services to children with complex needs in the West Cork region. **Key Responsibilities:** • Assess, plan, implement, and review treatment/intervention programmes for paediatric caseloads • Manage workload in accordance with post needs • Collaborate with service users, family, carers, multi-disciplinary team, network physiotherapists, and management team in treatment/intervention, planning, and provision of services • Maintain clinical records in accordance with local and professional guidelines • Communicate verbally and/or in writing results of assessments, treatment/intervention programmes, and recommendations to the team and relevant others • Support families and care staff in providing a physiotherapy service in various settings • Develop and implement service development initiatives to positively influence the physiotherapy department **Essential Qualifications and Skills:** • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons.) or BSc Physiotherapy (Hons) degree or equivalent • Member of CORU • Sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to undertake the duties of the post • Effective interpersonal/communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues • Ability to be innovative in service provision, manage workload, and plan and manage paediatric caseloads effectively • Ability to demonstrate a quality focus and commitment to quality within physiotherapy practice • Ability to integrate evidence into practice and contribute to own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) **Desirable Qualifications and Skills:** • Postural management training • Experience managing complex paediatric caseloads with physical and/or intellectual disabilities • Experience with postural management services and incorporating evidence-based practice into clinical work • Experience using software to document clinical notes **CoAction West Cork CLG is an Equal Opportunities Employer**
