As a JCI accredited hospital, Blackrock Clinic is a progressive and pioneering hospital where patient care is central to everything we do. **Key Responsibilities:** * Practice within the Codes of Practice, Rules and Guidelines set out by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and comply with the policies and procedures of Blackrock Clinic. * Develop and promote high standards of clinical practice and skills in the area of specialty. * Contribute to a structured process for education of colleagues, post-graduates and other health professionals. * Involvement in research and audit activities. * Act as an information resource for colleagues locally, regionally or nationally. * Lead and develop a highly skilled Outpatient Team. **Requirements:** * B.Sc.(Honours) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Dublin or equivalent qualification. * Continued Professional Development Diary including evidence of reflective practice, in-service training, courses attended and Clinical Governance gained. * Post graduate degree relevant to the clinical specialty. * Post graduate courses relevant to the clinical specialty. **Clinical Practice:** * Implement current best practice guidelines. * Ensure that the physiotherapy service delivered to patients meets professional and European standards of practice. * Provide advice and support to physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary colleagues on clinical practice issues. * Evaluate and research physiotherapy interventions and apply evidence-based practice. **Education/Teaching:** * Act as an advisor and education resource to colleagues locally, regionally and nationally. * Facilitate the CPD of senior staff. * Assist in the ongoing development of in-service training programme. * Participate in teaching other professionals and ancillary staff at qualification and post-qualification levels. **Practice/Service Development:** * Advise the Physiotherapy Manager on the management, evaluation and development of services. * Liaise with the Physiotherapy Manager regarding referral pathways and patient management. * Appraise and review performance with Physiotherapy Manager. * Lead the physiotherapy service within the clinical field. **Professional Expectations:** * Maintain documents according to the policies and procedures of Blackrock Clinic. * Report relevant information verbally and in writing to appropriate personnel. * Respond appropriately to patient/family requests and questions. * Communicate effectively with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team. * Recognise self-limitations and seek assistance. * Attend and contribute in staff meetings and team briefings. **Why work at Blackrock Clinic:** * Competitive salary * Onsite parking * Pension * Annual bonus * Discounted café * Sports and Social club * Employee Assistance Programme * Discounted onsite pharmacy
