Overview We are now recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer (3D Coordinator) to join our Dublin based operation. Our default 3D design system is based on Intergraph's S3D and CADworx suite of products. This is a hands on key technical role that will assist in the delivery of projects to our Multinational clients. Responsibilities As 3D Design Coordinator your project responsibilities would involve but not limited to the following activities: Carry over relevant Responsibilities from previous project stages Set up and chair weekly Model Design Coordination Meeting Mange interface with BIM Manage Design leads Manage all Internal discipline modelling and space coordination activities Monitor information flow Coordinate external contractors where relevant, e.g. Sprinkler and Cleanroom Panel Contractors Coordinate design reviews - both formal (with Client) and informal (internal) Manage the closeout of action items identified at design reviews Manage the closeout of clash report action items Coordinate commencement and completion of checking activities Manage the design / deliverable issue schedule against the construction schedule Manage reports and MTO Manage any changes to scope and requirements and identify changes to disciplines and Project Manager Carry out Design Risk Assessment Estimate, Forecast and Manage man-hours and schedule for Piping Manage Design leads Update man loadings and design schedules# Manage reporting of progress As Designer/Lead your day to day role would involve but not limited to the following activities: Coordination with other PM Group offices to understand the scope of work, deliverables, time lines, man hours etc. Produce and check pipe fabrication isometrics sketches and electronic 3D models for equipment in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications and procedures. 3D process and utility Piping Design. Isometric generation from Process P&ID's. Checking all design deliverables Stress Analysis. Resolving clashes in 3D model. Progress reporting. Coordination of design with other design disciplines and vendors. Qualifications A degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years' piping design experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in the use of Intergraph's S3D & CADWorx suite of products Biopharmaceutical or API design experience. Design experience with clients from Europe and the USA is an advantage. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Why PM Group?
