Fresco connects any compatible appliance, across brands so that users can focus on what they do best, preparing meals and are committed to building the best possible cooking experience.Fresco is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer for our IoT Team with Python and AWS experience to drive the design and development of the next generation of our multi-sided smart kitchen platform: the Fresco KitchenOS.If you love technology, food, AI and platforms and if you yearn for pioneering, career-defining work in a fast-moving, diverse and progressive working environment, then this role should interest you.You will be based out of our Madrid office or remotely within Spain, reporting to the IoT Engineering Lead, who is also based in Spain.As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll:Architect the Future: Design and develop a world-class platform that scales to support millions of users.Engineer for Engineers: Craft solutions that are not just powerful, but also make your team's lives easier.Seamless System Builder: Design and prototype interconnected components, from firmware to databases and APIs.Collaborative Leader: Inspire your team, foster open communication, and drive innovation.Cross-functional Mastermind: Work seamlessly with the IoT team to bring KitchenOS to life.We're looking for someone with:3+ years of experience building highly scalable distributed systems for IoT (think 1 million+ devices!).3+ years of experience architecting and deploying secure IoT platforms.Python & AWS pro: You're fluent in both Python and AWS services like IoT Core, S3, DynamoDB, and Lambda.Data whiz: You understand data platform architectures and can translate them into real-world applications.Security champion: Building secure IoT platforms is second nature to you.Communication maestro: You can clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Collaborative spirit: You thrive in a team environment and enjoy mentoring others.Problem-solving expert: You can identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex platform issues.A hunger to learn: You're passionate about staying ahead of the curve.Fluent English is a must.Bonus points if you have:A Bachelor's degree in software development or a related field.Experience as a data or systems architect.A knack for asynchronous platforms.Ready to cook up the future of smart kitchens?
