Job Description

Permanent, fulltime role based in NI or ROI Pay band is €42,500 €49,870 if based in ROI / £35,000 £41,069 if based in NI Closing date is Thursday 19th September at 12noon. Oxfam Ireland is looking for policy researchers specialising in climate justice and / or economic inequality to join our growing team of advocates who want to fight inequality at home and abroad. If you are comfortable with policy detail and writing, enjoy collaborating with teams in a busy environment and like to work closely with politicians and civil society then we would like to hear from you. Key activities: Actively lead and develop research and robust evidence-based policy analysis, informed by country/regional programme experience, to influence key stakeholders at Irish, northern Irish, EU and global level. Produce high-quality written policy material on climate, economic inequality and other areas of Oxfams work for public dissemination, including campaign literature. Keep up to date on the latest in academic and public policy developments in relevant policy areas and reflect these learnings back into the wider organisation. Oversee the commissioning and management of pieces of research in the areas of Climate Justice and Economic Inequality to underpin our advocacy work. Organise conferences, events and seminars with Oxfam colleagues and with partners across the island. Work with the Oxfam International Secretariat in the development of research and policy and interpretate shared Oxfam policy for the Irish context.
