**Senior to Principal Gameplay Engineer** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gameplay Engineer to contribute to the development of our latest project, a new multiplayer title set within the world of The Witcher. The Molasses Flood is a CD PROJEKT game development studio located in the greater Boston area. We value every voice on the team, open communication and transparency, and run a studio based on mutual respect and kindness between all members and levels of the team. **Job Responsibilities:** • Develop and implement systems in engine in a multiplayer environment, using C++ and Blueprints. • Build developer-friendly, easy-to-use, stable systems that allow design and narrative teams to rapidly build & iterate on content. • Ensure game performance standards across areas of system ownership for all target platforms. • Follow the code quality standards set by the team. • Collaborate with everyone on the team and across disciplines in achieving the overall vision of the game. • Solicit and incorporate feedback from team members regarding existing systems. • Mentor more junior members of the engineering team. **Qualifications:** • Proven success in creating compelling and innovative 3 Cs systems in 3rd person, multiplayer games. • Strong understanding of core 3 C concepts such as camera behaviors, state machines, character movement systems, animations, and controls accessibility. • Extensive knowledge of current game titles, as well as movies and other visual arts, to use as reference for crafting and communicating original ideas. • The ability to communicate fluently with engineering, art, narrative and production. • Candidates must have a US work permit or citizenship, or Canadian citizenship. • Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude. **Nice to Have:** • Unreal Engine 5 experience. **Benefits:** • 100% company paid medical, dental, and vision plans available - for employees and dependents. • 401 K with matching. • Company paid long & short term disability plans, and life insurance. • Profit sharing plan. • Unlimited PTO and flexible schedule. • Environmental company paid offset of employees' carbon footprint via Wren.co. • Positions worked in office are hybrid: M/W/F work from home & T/Th work in office, with lunch provided on the in office days. • Dog friendly office. • Many opportunities for advancement as our team grows and takes on new challenges.
