Senior Process Engineer Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for Senior Process Engineerfor our client based in County Longford who specialises in manufacturing packaging and components for the polymer/plastics industry. Our client is a leading supplier for the medical device industry and is currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. With new opportunities on the horizon and significant advancement in projects and capabilities they are now looking to expand their team. TheSenior Process Engineermain responsibility is toassist the Engineering/Production department in optimizing product manufacturing by developing the best moulding processes, tooling, and automation to meet or exceed customer requirements. Provide technical support to ensure that all current and future projects align with customer and in-house specifications and standards. This is a permanent role. Responsibilities: Responsible for introducing all new products into the company, creating standard specifications for each process, and ensuring that existing production meets these standards while maintaining process improvement by using statistical methods. Collaborate with Production Group Leaders to resolve processing issues and build relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and business growth. Work with the Quality department to resolve customer issues and provides training on manufacturing skills and new processes. Coordinates documentation development in line with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485 standards, regularly reviewing systems with Group Leaders and the Quality department to ensure compliance. Regularly communicate with material and equipment suppliers and update the management team on any issues. Desired Skills & Experience: Degree in Plastics Engineering with 4-5 years of experience in the injection moulding industry. Strong knowledge of injection mould tooling and design including processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems. Preferable experience in the Medical, Packaging, or Technology sectors. Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE), with demonstrated experience. Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems, WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles. Skilled in computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets (MFG Pro knowledge is an advantage). Able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to travel as required.
