Occasional travel to a physical office may be required to enhance working relationships, collaboration, design, strategy and alignment.Job DescriptionSenior Product Owner, Product Management / R&DThe role analyzes and defines business needs and assists in testing and implementing Global trade management software. Provides the functional and business expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop QAD Global Trade Management solutions or enhancements. Works across business functions, serving as an expert in product areas and striving for innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex challenges.What you will doIndependently analyze business needs, define, and create business software use cases and granular user stories in conjunction with business experts, Product Managers and customers.Create User Stories for sprint or more granular development and testing.Collaborate on scrum development activities.Contribute to initial screen designs in collaboration with UX Agent.Provide guidelines & use-cases to QA's to direct their testing strategy.This role functions across the QAD Global Trade Management business and works deeply with existing customers to better understand their process needs.Validate completed solutions working with SEs and QAs.Ability to demo solutions to product managers, customers and business experts.Recommend business process changes based on best business practices with our software.Assist in development and delivery of product documentation and training materials as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).Mentor new R&D Product Owners and other team members. Assist other team members in their professional development and growth.Work closely with Consulting Services and Service Delivery to assist with customer implementations and support during the Early Adopter phase.Perform initial triage of escalated customer functional issues and recommend disposition and/or resolution.QualificationsWhat you need:Education/Licenses: Bachelor’s Degree requiredExperience: 5-8 years of related experience, preferably in a global Enterprise software companyFundamental software development skills, ideally from a Scrum background or similar rapid development methodology, and working knowledge of QAD-supported technologies, platforms, and languages.Experience interpreting user needs and writing or editing use cases and user stories.
