Senior Production Group Lead for a leading medical device company in Galway, responsible for leading production teams, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and contributing to the company's overall success.
Our client, a leading medical device company in Galway, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Group Lead to join their team.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Lead production teams from a production perspective, assigned to specific production areas.
• Develop and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the production area.
• Supervise and mentor a team of up to 4 Group Leaders and approximately 60 Production Operators.
• Ensure production is staffed in accordance with capacity planning and labor costs are managed within budget.
• Ensure all EH&S requirements are met and address issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure all quality and GMP requirements are met, and procedures and standard work are followed.
• Implement effective cross-training and job rotation for Production Operators.
• Participate in the interviewing and selection process for new and existing employees.
• Support and encourage the submission and implementation of continuous improvement ideas for all team members.
• Work closely with other departmental leads to ensure scheduling of R&D projects and new product introductions meet customer requirements.

• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management Systems.
• Develop, lead, and promote a culture that supports the intended outcomes of the management systems.
• Direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of these management systems.
• Be flexible and take on other duties assigned by the company.
**Requirements**
• Previous experience as a Group Leader or equivalent role required.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to communicate effectively with all departments at all levels within the organization structure.
• Able to lead cross-functional meetings and teams.
• A can-do attitude with emphasis on meeting all internal and external customer requirements.
• Able to analyze and challenge existing systems and processes and suggest practical improvements.
