Senior Production Manager Job Description
Lead a team of production staff in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment, overseeing production planning, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
Sanmina is a leading medical device company that specializes in manufacturing automation. Our Fermoy, Ireland facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO for the manufacture of high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies, and complete devices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production staff, including production leads, team leaders, and production operators
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and quality standards
- Identify and drive improvements in quality, output, and cost across all processes
- Establish and maintain high levels of employee morale, reduce absenteeism and attrition
- Supervise compliance with health and safety, environmental, and security procedures
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in managing large teams in a multi-shift structure, preferably in a world-class medical manufacturing environment
- Third-level qualification in business or technical field (desired)
- 3-5 years of experience in automated manufacturing processes
- 5+ years of experience in identifying and delivering process improvements using LSS methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proficient in office tools and MRP/production planning software
