Senior Production Planner sought to oversee manufacturing operations, develop production schedules, and manage material resources for a medical manufacturing company.
CREGG is a medical manufacturing company based in Shannon, Ireland.
This role will ensure our procurement, logistics and production planning operations function to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Manufacturing Operations, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management and other teams to develop, prioritize and maintain the Master Production Schedule and implement efficient production build scheduling
- Ensure that the correct material, labour and other resources are in place to meet production schedules and committed delivery dates
- Manage the forecasting and demand planning of material for multiple projects
- Maintain the MRP systems, including works order creation and management, production of pick and pack lists, production & quality documentation, etc
- Provide assistance and guidance to Purchasing, Materials Handling, Stores and Logistics team members, and work to optimise the company's procurement operations
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics service providers to resolve any supply or product issues as they arise
- Ensure inventory and records are maintained correctly
- Coordinating and managing Engineering Changes and New Product Introduction
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset to strive for lean and efficiency
- Assist in the implementation and development of ERP systems
- Ensure Environmental Health & Safety standards are met and all EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to
- Communicate production and material status to the wider team in a timely manner and reporting on Key Performance Indicators
Essential and Desirable Skills:
- 6+ years previous experience in a Production Planner or similar field
- Previous purchasing and logistics management experience preferred
- Working experience of relevant ERP
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Background in life sciences or medical devices an advantage
- Experience in electronic and electromechanical based products an advantage
- Strong Customer facing skills
- To be versatile in your day-to-day activities by providing cross-departmental support when necessary
