Semi State Body have an opportunity for a Senior Project Accountant, on a Fixed Term Contract initially leading to permanency. This position is hybrid working in the Dublin office. The Senior Project Accountant will assist in managing the financial control requirements of the Business Unit, covering project budgetary control, project periodic reporting, financial planning and financial forecast management, project controls, contract management, and funding cash flow management. Key Responsibilities: Project contract financial management. Provide periodic financial reports, including commentaries on periodic variances. Analysis and preparation of periodic accruals. Produce periodic variance analysis reports. Ensure effective internal controls operate within the business unit. Identify and document improvements to control processes and procedures. Budget, Forecast & 5 Year Planning preparation. Provide information in accordance with the agreed reporting calendar. Periodic reports on third-party performance. Assist with auditing processes and procedures. Qualifications and Experience required Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA with 3 years post-qualification experience. Experience in Project Accounting and Infrastructure Project Accounting. Essential Forecasting experience. Understanding of project expenditure, accruals, retentions, and cash flow. Understanding of contracts, contract variations, and the procurement to invoice process. Strong understanding of Irish Tax Law and its impact on project budgets and forecasts. Ability to prepare high-quality, timely, and consistent financial reports for internal and external use. Problem-solving and change management skills.
