About the CompanyClandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland’s biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in some of Ireland’s largest recent infrastructure projects including the N8 Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin, N17/N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway and Luas Cross City. CCC is dedicated to providing exceptional services in the execution of infrastructure projects and specializes in applying sound judgment in order to identify opportunities and provide solutions for our Clients.Due to continuing growth, CCC is now looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer / Geometrical Lead, who will play a key role in delivering innovation and value to our clients and will have the opportunity to develop their career within an SME and the flexibility that brings with it.The successful candidate will report into senior management and be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of projects, leading teams and ensuring delivery to the highest standards within the project timeframes.This position will suit someone with expert design and geometric modelling experience who is looking to make the next step in their career.CCC offers a hybrid working model and in conjunction with working from home, the successful candidate can choose to be based from either our Naas, Navan or Cork office. Full remote working will be considered for the right candidate.Senior Project Engineer/ Geometric Lead - The roleUndertake geometric and general 3D modelling and lead the training and development of junior geometric/modelling resources;Lead geometric teams in delivery of small infrastructure projects or lead the design on major projects;Support and direct activities and goals of other staff members;Actively prioritise workload and manage time (including that of others);Develop technical reports to establish design principles or explain designs;Check designs drawings and documents developed by other team members;Manage workload over a number of projects at any one time;Represent CCC at meetings, taking minutes, developing resource requirements and assigning actions;Any other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.What you need – the skills and competenciesDegree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.3-5 years’ plus engineering (alignment/modelling) experience.Project management experience welcomed but not necessary.Able to multi-task confidently, with excellent management and organisational skills required.Good communication skills both written and verbal.Team player with the ability to work on own initiative as required.Highly competent/Expert in using a range of modelling software (Civil 3D, Open Roads, MX etc) and confident in all Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to health and safety legislation and requirements.Current right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
