Job Description
Senior Project Engineer in Transport role requires a highly skilled professional to lead the design and delivery of roads, rail, greenways, and active travel projects.
Our client is a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare designs and reports at all stages of a project lifecycle.
- Ensure quality and management procedures are complied with.
- Motivate and take ownership of issues, seeking team participation to achieve best solutions.
- Develop skills and knowledge in a collaborative Level 2 BIM environment.
- Understand project management objectives and engage with clients and design teams.
Requirements:
- A Level 8 honours degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Ideal: Level 9 master's degree in engineering or cognate discipline.
- Specialist qualification in transport-related discipline advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartered engineer status.
- 6+ years' experience in design and construction phases.
- Detailed knowledge of Irish and/or UK standards, including NTA, TII, and DMRB design standards.
- Experience working on projects from options to construction.
- Contract Documents experience, including Bills of Quantities and Specification.
- Ability to prepare 3D models using Civil 3D and work in a collaborative Level 2 BIM environment.
- Experience with drainage design software and other relevant software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
