Senior Project Engineers sought to manage large infrastructure projects, balancing project management with power systems knowledge.
We are the people behind Ireland's electricity grid, operating the power system with world-leading levels of variable asynchronous renewable generation.
The successful candidate will work on projects across their entire life cycle, from initiation to close, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The Infrastructure office is responsible for new HV stations and circuit projects, as well as upgrade and refurbishment projects on the existing network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects from conceptual phase to handover for detailed design and construction phase
- Delivering medium to large infrastructure projects to approved schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions, or new ways of doing things
About you:
- Engineering degree or technical equivalent with a minimum of 4 years' experience managing large infrastructure projects
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions, or new ways of doing things
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proficiency in English required
- Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation
