Our client, a prominent player in the transportation and infrastructure sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager / Associate Director with a specialisation in rail to lead their dynamic railway projects in Ireland. This role is an excellent opportunity to be involved in influential railway infrastructure projects, including the Cork Area Commuter Rail, DART+ Kildare, and HS2 Phase 1, among others. Key Responsibilities: Managing, expanding, and developing key client relationships within the rail sector. Overseeing project work to ensure delivery is within agreed timelines and budgets. Coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams for comprehensive railway project execution. Acting as the primary client contact for project cost, commercial management, and quality assurance. Overseeing resource management for projects, ensuring efficient use of personnel and materials. Line management responsibilities including the development and performance management of team members. Engaging proactively in continuous improvement efforts to enhance service delivery and drive innovation in project execution. Job Requirements: Chartered status in Civil Engineering and/or membership with a recognised professional body essential. Extensive experience in rail/railway infrastructure design, demonstrating an understanding of critical project management methodologies. Proven track record in a Program Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity within the rail industry. Deep practical knowledge of NEC Contracts, crucial for successful project deliveries. Strong capabilities in business development, tender preparation, and strategic project planning. Experience in managing client engagements, external stakeholders, and subcontractor relationships effectively. An ability to lead oral hearings, which is considered an asset for this role. Flexible, collaborative and a strong team player capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment.
