Job Description

Senior Project Manager role in Canada for a leading Main Contractor, managing high-value projects and leading a team of professionals.

Lead and direct the daily management of projects valued over $200 Million CAD, accountable for overall project performance, including cost, schedule, quality, status, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safety leadership through implementation of the company's safety program.
  • Plan, schedule, set objectives, and control activities during the construction phase.
  • Mentor and manage a successful team, helping develop future construction professionals.
  • Supervise and develop project team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
  • Complete performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Report on project performance to Senior Management on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma/Trade in Construction or Engineering Discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction/Project Management for a Main Contractor in Ireland/UK.
  • Experience delivering projects with values €100 Million+.
  • Solid understanding of construction industry practices.
  • Strong familiarity with contract administration, understanding drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards, and building practices.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

IT Skills:

  • MS Office.
  • MS Project.
  • Bluebeam.
  • Plan Grid.
