Job Description

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, a strong mechanical background, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage capital projects, overseeing project scoping, planning, execution, resource allocation, risk management, and communication.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to define project requirements, manage expectations, and communicate project progress.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications and bid documents for equipment, materials, and construction services.
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet industry standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance to address complex project phasing and execution issues.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new equipment and lead problem-solving efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and supervise contingent workers.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and prepare detailed technical reports.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of project management or engineering experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong mechanical background and hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in a GDP-compliant environment and a solid understanding of regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in technical report writing and presenting to senior leadership.

  • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in construction management and process equipment specification/qualification is highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
