Senior Project Manager role at KPMG Construction Advisory involves managing projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery.

KPMG Construction Advisory is a niche practice area within KPMG, providing a one-stop shop for clients' key objectives. The team offers Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical Cost Management, and Consultancy Services.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing a group of projects from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning.
  • Delivering projects safely to time, budget, and specification, ensuring projects achieve all project goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing day-to-day activities of Project Managers, ensuring implementation of project management techniques and measures.
  • Providing technical and contractual support to Project Managers, reporting on project performance, and coordinating project interfaces.
  • Leading coordination of project, ensuring consideration and addressing of interfaces at all stages of project lifecycle.
  • Working with technical teams to coordinate and manage design consultants and external service providers.
  • Organizing design review meetings, communicating design acceptance to Contractor, and communicating design changes to relevant project team members and stakeholders.
  • Reporting monthly on project tasks, maintaining project risk register, and updating at monthly progress meetings.
  • Ensuring projects and commissions are delivered to client satisfaction for quality, cost, and time.
  • Supporting and managing project team, ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting client and business requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Managing flow of project information between team and client, through regular meetings and written communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Construction sector.
  • Degree Qualified – preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB, APM or other equivalent institution.
  • Highly motivated and with excellent industry network.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs meet required standards.
  • Knowledge of RIAI, GCCC, NEC & FIDIC suite of contracts.
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Project management Principles.
  • Ability to make decisions and demonstrate logic in reaching those decisions when required.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management software and toolsets.
