Job Description

Our client are a mechanical and electrical services contractor based in Dublin City. They are currently engaged in several high-profile S&C and fitout contracts including hotels, offices, and apartment developments. They are now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Projects Manager to join their team. They will be responsible for managing complex construction projects and working effectively with a variety of stakeholders and leading their team to deliver projects on time, on budget and in a safe and efficient manner. Role and Responsibilities: * Manage projects across the mechanical and electrical (M&E) function from inception to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and ensuring timely delivery. * Plan, maintain and control financial administration of all construction work to obtain and maintain maximum cost effectiveness. * Prepare and submit regular progress reports and financial reports to the senior management mteam and stakeholders * Liaise with project team, clients, architects, and other stakeholders and submit progress reports on a weekly basis to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout each project ensuring that all have timely and accurate information. * Attend regular site meetings with site management and client. * Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner. * Communicate with stakeholders and keep them updated on project issues ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and workmanship. * Manage project resource requirements and the procurement of materials and equipment as required for the project. * Manage and motivate a team of mechanical engineers, tradespeople, and subcontractors to measure efficient and effective delivery of each project on time. * Ensure work is conducted in a safe and effective manner. * Propose suitable changes to design to improve saving, ease construction programme, * enhance specification and quality completion. * Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, health and safety regulations and company procedures. * Utilise project plans and schedules to monitor all activities learned to enable continuous improvement. * Develop and manage an Annual Maintenance Plan including corrective and preventive maintenance requirements. Ideal Candidate: * 8+ years’ experience with a proven track record of success in managing complex construction projects. * Experience in project management of Mechanical and Electrical projects. * Degree qualified or mechanical/electrical trade qualification. * Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and schedules effectively and on time. * Sound knowledge of construction health and safety regulations. * Able to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Experience in creating innovative ideas and solutions. * Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work to tight deadlines. * Excellent people management skills (direct and subcontracted). * Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Valid full drivers license
