The Job: Full time (39 Hrs), Monday to Friday Position Overview: At Natus, our Manufacturing Engineering Team is integral to supporting all internal manufacturing activities by developing and implementing process launches and improvements across multiple production lines.
We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for prioritizing project activities, providing manufacturing and technical support to the Gort production team, defining and leading validation activities, optimizing layout and process flow, and reporting progress to senior management.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company and team that plays a key role in manufacturing neuro products.
Duties and Responsibilities: Manufacturing Layout Development: Design and implement layouts to integrate and merge new production lines with existing setups.
Process Optimization: Review and optimize existing manufacturing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Routing Setup: Establish routings and standard manufacturing times.
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to manage activities for efficient part setup and manufacturing.
Validation Protocol Development: Develop and execute validation protocols (e.g., IQ, SV, TMV, MVP, MVR) in compliance with US and EU regulations.
Production Support: Provide support to production personnel during validation phases and initial production runs.
Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance to Associate Engineers, technicians, and production staff.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive improvements in process performance to enhance efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
Travel Requirement: Up to 20% travel may be required.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills: Education: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on supporting manufacturing processes.
Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and project management capabilities.
Proficiency in applying statistical theories and methods to resolve production and engineering challenges.
Experience supporting validations and manufacturing processes in a medical device environment.
Familiarity with LEAN, 5 S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory expectations and industry practices, including 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and Medical Device Directive (MDD).
Proficient in EBS Oracle and Agile software systems.
Proven ability to manage projects within tight deadlines.
