Position Title: Senior Process Engineer Location: Ballina Reporting to: Manufacturing Engineering SupervisorJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Ballina. This role will primarily support Manufacturing Operations while closely collaborating with Global Engineering, New Product Development, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead and coordinate engineering initiatives to enhance and expand our manufacturing capabilities. Leveraging insights from current manufacturing technologies, you will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative systems that increase output while upholding the highest standards of product quality. Your leadership will guide a team of process engineers, and you’ll oversee process development, including collaboration with technology partners to achieve strategic objectives.Responsibilities:New Process Implementation: Drive the timely integration of new manufacturing processes within the designated Value Stream area.Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on projects related to capacity expansion, new product introduction, and cost reduction, involving highly automated production systems.Oversee the entire process from User Requirements (URS) to Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Capital Approval, and Design Reviews using tools like FMEA.Project Planning & Management: Develop, track, and communicate project plans while maintaining budgetary control.Ensure that project milestones are met, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Process Concept Development: Lead the development of concepts for fully automated manufacturing systems.Work closely with technology partners to prototype critical bottleneck areas and develop high-level concepts that align with customer needs.Process Improvements: Identify and implement process and product improvements within your area of responsibility.New Product Introduction: Support the timely introduction of new products or product upgrades in the designated Value Stream area, including the development of product costs (COGS).Process Qualification: Oversee the qualification of new products and processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards through protocol execution.Safety & Risk Management: Ensure safety compliance within your area and manage the execution and timely closure of risk assessments.Requirements: Leadership: Mentor and guide teams or individuals, leveraging both direct and indirect influence techniques to support project goals. Coordinate project activities across multi-functional and geographically dispersed teams.Project Management: Break down technical projects into actionable tasks, secure necessary resources, and monitor progress to preemptively address issues. Utilize clear metrics to report progress to management.Process Development: Develop and justify process concepts, lead prototype testing, and create essential documentation such as process specifications, factory acceptance plans, and validation plans. Manage relationships with vendor partners to support process introductions.Business Acumen: Apply sound business principles to evaluate alternatives, manage project budgets, and provide informed technical direction.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Electrical/Controls preferred)Master’s degree in Project Management, Manufacturing Systems, or equivalent (preferred)ASQ Green/Black Belt Certification (advantageous)Project Management certification/trainingProficiency in 2D/3D CAD, Pneumatic Circuits & ControlsFamiliarity with DOE techniques, statistical analysis tools, and DFM principles5-10 years of post-qualification experience in general engineering or project management #J-18808-Ljbffr
