Senior Project Sustainability Engineer (Building Physics) job description: Manage building projects to demonstrate regulatory compliance, utilizing thermal modeling and energy calculations to promote sustainable solutions and low energy services.

As a Senior Project Sustainability Engineer (Building Physics) at Ethos, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects to demonstrate regulatory compliance, specifically Building Regulations Part L. You will utilize IES VE and Revit Insight 360 to produce thermal and daylight models and simulations related to a range of building projects. Your tasks will include:

  • Producing energy calculations, heating analysis, and generating building thermal loads
  • Supporting the production of Energy Strategies and statements for planning authorities
  • Assisting in design studies promoting sustainable solutions, low energy services, and low carbon technologies
  • Producing Daylight and Sunlight Studies as part of Planning applications

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a sustainability engineer/consultant or related position
  • Suitable backgrounds: Mechanical, Building Services, or Sustainability
  • Significant experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE
  • Solid understanding of MEP services
  • Experience with delivery of Building Regulations compliance, including Part L and Part F
  • Dynamic, outgoing, and passionate about sustainability
  • Hard-working and eager to develop modelling and building compliance skills
  • Capable of modelling buildings in Revit
  • Ability to run daylight analysis using Insight 360
