Your new role In this role, you will underwrite new and renewed property business, ensuring alignment with the business plan to maximise profit while maintaining the company's reputation and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include managing property business performance, monitoring EPI, handling referrals, and conducting regular reviews and audits. You will build and maintain effective relationships with insureds, brokers, and colleagues across various teams. Additionally, you will stay informed about market developments, review rates and policy documents, and participate in relevant meetings to support business objectives. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge and understanding of underwriting principles, legal principles, CBI and Lloyds rules and regulations (including conduct risk and contract certainty issues), and the Ireland insurance market are essential. You should be familiar with all company-specific procedures related to your role and those you supervise, as well as the Ireland commercial property business, including liabilities associated with commercial combined/package business. A clear understanding of the roles of colleagues and their relationship to the firm's structure and business plans is crucial. You will also need to develop and maintain market awareness.
