Job Description

Summary: Experienced psychologist sought to provide high-quality evidence-based psychology services to children and families with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering psychology services to children and families within the Children Disability Network Team. This will involve direct intervention with children and families, as well as providing support and supervision to staff-grade psychologists and trainee psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychology services to children and families within the CDNT
  • Consult and provide clinical supervision to psychologists and trainee psychologists
  • Undertake assessments, therapy, and interventions in accordance with professional competence
  • Carry out Assessment of Need Assessments and relevant assessments for children transitioning into school, secondary school, and adult services
  • Work within limits of professional competence and best practice
  • Represent the service at meetings and conferences
  • Keep up-to-date records, reports, and statistics

Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in Psychology with 1st or 2nd class honours
  • Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland
  • At least five years' satisfactory post-graduate experience in professional psychology
  • Competence in working with children with disabilities
  • Understanding of interdisciplinary working, family-centred practice, and suitability for the role
