Senior Psychologist Job Description

This position requires a highly qualified and experienced Senior Psychologist to provide a quality evidence-based psychology service to children and families within the Children Disability Network Team.

  • Provide direct intervention with children and families
  • Consult and clinically supervise staff grade psychologists and trainee psychologists
  • Undertake assessment, therapy, and interventions for children and young people
  • Carry out Assessment of Need Assessments and relevant assessments for transitioning children
  • Work within professional competence and best practice
  • Represent the service at meetings and conferences
  • Keep up-to-date records, reports, and statistics

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in Psychology with 1st or 2nd class honours
  • Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
  • At least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in professional psychology
  • Demonstrate competence in working with children with disabilities and interdisciplinary working

Salary and Benefits

€94,669-€111,277 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
