If your heart beats for technology, and you aspire to join a team fuelled by innovation and excellence, we have an electrifying opportunity that awaits you!Senior (Python) Software Engineer - Fully Remote but must be in IrelandMy customer is a world leader in the financial domain, and they 100% need someone from the web application background - anyone who is a very Senior Web applications developer that's moved into Python.As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the CTO, you will be working with Python developers and UI developers in developing cloud-based products.Technical Stack: Python Backend Programming, API integration, Web Application Development, PostgreSQL, AWS.The role involves the development of APIs and web application backends using the Python language. We are looking for significant experience to underpin that, supported by:Key Responsibilities:Create and communicate development plans and schedules.Ensure the team meets deadlines with high-quality deliverables.Embody continuous improvement.Build APIs for clients to access our data.Build responsive, reliable, performant, and secure web application backends.Implement, tune, and maintain the DevOps necessary to support the above.Contribute strongly to the development of surrounding processes.Required Skills and Experience:Strong communication skills, comfortable having technical discussions with clients.Senior developer/team lead experience.Python web application and/or API development.Strong SQL and RDBMS modeling skills.Reasonable Linux knowledge.Modern and agile DevOps.Minimum 7 years' experience in comparable business/technical/product environments.Desired Skills:PostgreSQL and use of PostgreSQL via SQLAlchemy.Azure infrastructure configuration.NLP / Text Analytics.Basic working knowledge of interfacing with LLMs, such as OpenAI or Microsoft Cognitive Services APIs.The extent of relevant experience will impact our choice; in other words, we're more likely to favor a candidate having greater experience.Why Join Us?By joining our team, you will have the chance to grow your career and make a significant impact in the field of automotive software innovation.
