Job Description
A Snr QC manager is required to join a global pharmaceutical company based in North Dublin. The successful candidate will oversee the sites Chemistry, Microbiology and Stability laboratories with a total team of over 50 people and 3-4 direct reports. This role reports directly to the Snr Quality Director and will be involved in strategic planning for the site. Job Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of chemistry and microbiology labs, ensuring timely release of raw materials, packaging, and finished products Maintain the site stability and retain samples programs. Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure timely and cost-effective release of materials and products. Oversee training and development of lab personnel in GMP and GLP, ensuring training records are up-to-date. Recruit, develop, and manage training and personnel development plans for laboratory staff. Assist in preparing for internal and external regulatory audits. Conduct performance appraisals for QC lab staff. Ensure timely analysis, approval, and documentation of validation data and test methods. Ensure the safety of lab personnel and report safety concerns to the Quality Director/EHS Advisor. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within QC labs. Manage financial resources and expenses within the Quality Control function. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (a MSc or PhD is an advantage) 5-7 years of leadership experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on GMP and GLP compliance. Minimum of 5 years of people management experience. Strong knowledge of EMA, ICH, EP, and global regulatory requirements. Experience with HA inspections and audits.
