Company: Our client provides a wide range of dry ingredients solutions for the Food industry into the Irish market. Specifically, they supply to customers in the Processed Meat, Bakery, Snack Food, Flexitarian and Vegetarian product areas. They are customer-focused, with an agile approach to customer service, and over two decades of successful business behind them. There is a clear focus on sustainability and health and wellness in their ingredients. Opportunity: The role, reporting to the Technical Manager, entails leading quality, food safety, and food safety culture initiatives within the manufacturing facility to achieve ongoing quality enhancement. The successful candidate will collaborate with production teams to uphold daily quality standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role demands efficiency and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with training provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities: * Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement * Manage all aspects of the Quality System, including HACCP and food safety management * Maintain audit readiness at all times * Provide leadership to the quality team for problem-solving and process improvements * Ensure plant hygiene and staff training * Support customer and regulatory audits * Establish and maintain procedures with supervisors and operating staff * Assist in product development and supplier approval * Address non-conformances promptly and implement corrective actions * Investigate and resolve customer complaints Candidate Requirements: * Quality/Food science qualification * 10+ years in a quality/technical role in food industry * Familiarity with BRC Global Food Safety Standards * Strong regulatory and specification writing skills * Proficiency in HACCP, TACCP, and Food Fraud * Training and internal auditing certification preferred * Excellent technical and communication skills * Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Remuneration: Salary and overall package are competitive, and the finer details will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
